The all-but-vanished wooden city left behind one of the planet’s most iconic Hindu-Buddhist temples, Angkor Wat — founded in 1150 — at 163 ha, the largest religious structure in the world, according to Guinness.
Hands-on, interactive activities include building a temple, touching a sculpture and flexing your archaeological detective skills.
The first 500 people through on opening day Friday receive a special souvenir pin, and the first 100 Mammoth Pass holders also get a free exhibition catalogue.
General admission is $21, $14 for seniors and $10 for youth.
The show opens 10 a.m. Friday, running through July 28 at RAM (9810 103A Ave.)
See royalalbertamuseum.ca for full details.
