An Edmonton woman is on the run following a B.C. road-rage baseball-bat-beating incident that hospitalized two.
A nationwide RCMP warrant is out for Amber Jenelle Toews, 35, charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, and mischief under $5,000.
The charges stem from an alleged assault during a road rage incident at a fast-food drive-thru in Mission, B.C.

Toews was one of two suspects in the incident that left two young adults seriously injured, according to a news release from RCMP.
According to the Vancouver Sun, an earlier Mission RCMP news release said the two suspects were in a black Malibu with Alberta plates when the young couple was beaten near Lougheed Highway and the Cedar Valley Connector about 10 a.m. on Sept. 8.
The couple had been in a Tim Hortons drive-thru when they honked at the suspects’ black Chevrolet Malibu in front of them for not moving. The Malibu then followed the victims for about two kilometres before the assault occurred.
The other suspect, Johnathan Hebrada-Walters, 38, was from the Edmonton area.
Hebrada-Walters was found dead from what is believed to be an unrelated homicide linked to gang activity in Langley, B.C., on Sept. 21.
“The integrated homicide investigation team has said that they believe the (Hebrada-Walters) homicide was related to the B.C. gang conflict. There is not believed to be any connection between the road rage incident and the homicide of Hebrada-Walters,” said a statement issued by Mission RCMP.

Mission RCMP noted in a statement Toews has been known to travel around B.C. and other western provinces as well, and there is no confirmation that she has returned to Alberta.
The Sept. 21 shooting incident that left Hebrada-Walters dead left a suspected gangster wounded but expected to recover, Postmedia reported.
“Mr. Hebrada-Walters was known to police and initial information indicates that this shooting was a targeted event, linked to the ongoing B.C. gang conflict. The surviving victim, whose name is not being released, was also known to police,” the release said.
The B.C. RCMP’s integrated homicide investigations team is working with the combined forces special Enforcement unit of B.C. as well as policing partners in Alberta on that case.
