City police have arrested and charged an Edmonton massage therapist with four counts of sexual assault and say there could be more victims.
Police said the investigation began in August after a report of a sexual assault by a registered massage therapist (RMT) at a clinic in south Edmonton, police said in a Friday news release. White investigating, three more people reported to police similar concerns involving the same therapist.

The Certified Registered Massage Therapist Association (CRMTA) cancelled the therapist’s licence but police believe the man may still be practising massage therapy in Edmonton and are encouraging any other victims to come forward.
Satish Poojari, 49, is charged with four counts of sexual assault.
“If you have been victimized by Satish Poojari, we are hopeful that you will come forward and report it to police,” said Assistant Det. Candace Werestiuk with the EPS sexual assault section.
“We believe there may be other complainants, and we want to check on their well-being and assure them that they will have access to appropriate supports.”
Poojari’s next court appearance is set for Dec. 12.
Anyone with information is asked to contact EPS at 780-423-4567.
